Privacy Policy
The short version
Your projects and terminal files stay on your device unless you choose a network feature. Some SmartIDE editions use Firebase diagnostics, subscriptions, optional AI services, or—in legacy AIDE editions—advertising. We do not sell your personal data. This policy explains which data each type of feature may handle.
Scope
Apps covered by this policy
This policy applies to Android developer tools published by SmartIDE or Jogajog, including SmartIDE, SmartIDE Terminal, SmartIDE Git and database tools, SmartIDE VS Code, SmartIDE coding-agent apps, Kotlin Compiler Offline, Python Programming Bangla, AIDE-based SmartIDE editions, and the language-specific SmartIDE IDEs.
Package-name coverage
This includes packages under org.smartide.*, the language IDE family (such as org.smartide.python, org.smartide.kotlin, org.smartide.java, org.smartide.cpp, and the other language editions), plus be.xbd.kotlin, net.jogajog.hukushpakushprogramming, com.aide.web, com.termux when distributed as a SmartIDE edition, and dev.localagent.ide.
The policy also applies to future renamed or successor editions from the same publisher when their store listing links to this page. It does not govern apps or websites created by users with SmartIDE, or unrelated third-party apps.
Not every app contains every feature described below. A section applies only when the relevant feature is present and used in your edition.

Files and projects
Source code, projects, local databases, terminal history, installed packages, settings and credentials are stored locally by default, in app-private storage or folders you select. SmartIDE does not upload their contents merely because you open or edit them. Android backup, device-sync software, or another app you authorize may separately copy local data under its own settings and policy.
Analytics and crash reporting
Editions that enable Google Firebase may automatically send usage events and crash diagnostics to Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. These services can process an installation identifier, technical device and app information, IP-derived coarse location, events and crash details. SmartIDE uses this information for app functionality, reliability and product improvement—not to read project contents. Editions that disable Firebase do not send this telemetry through Firebase.
Advertising
Most current SmartIDE language IDEs do not display ads. Some legacy AIDE-based editions may include Google Mobile Ads. In those editions, Google and its partners may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location and ad interactions to provide, secure and measure ads, subject to your Android and consent settings. The applicable app will display ads or consent controls when this feature is active.

Information sent when you ask the app to connect
AI and coding agents
If you use an AI assistant or coding agent, the prompt, chat context, selected code, files the agent reads, terminal output and tool results needed to answer your request may be sent to the selected provider. Depending on the integration, the request may go directly to that provider or through a SmartIDE API endpoint such as ai-api.smartide.org. Providers may include Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, OpenRouter, or another service you configure. Do not submit secrets or personal data you do not want processed by that provider.
Provider credentials or API keys you enter are used to authenticate the requested service and are stored on the device unless the relevant sign-in flow clearly states otherwise. Provider processing is also governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.
Terminal, packages, Git and remote databases
Commands such as git clone, git push, curl, and package-manager installs connect to destinations you choose. Database tools connect to the server you configure. Those destinations receive the data required by the protocol, including your IP address, credentials and any content you transmit. SmartIDE does not control a third-party host's retention or security practices.
Google Play billing
Google Play processes payment-card and billing information. SmartIDE does not receive your full payment details. An app may store a purchase token locally and in Firebase to remember or verify entitlement. Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
Android permissions
Why an edition may request access
- Files and storage: open, edit, build, import and export projects in locations you select.
- Internet and network state: download toolchains or packages, use Git, access remote databases, use optional AI, show online content, and support enabled diagnostics or ads.
- Notifications, foreground service and wake lock: keep long builds, servers and terminal sessions running and show their status.
- Display over other apps: show an optional floating terminal or project control.
- Install packages: hand an APK you build to Android's installer; Android still asks you to confirm.
- Microphone: accept voice input only when an edition offers that feature and you grant permission.
Denying an optional permission disables the related feature. Permission availability varies by edition and Android version.
Retention and security
How long information is kept
Local data remains until you delete it, clear app storage or uninstall the app, subject to Android backups you control. Purchase and account records are kept while needed to provide access and meet legal or accounting obligations. Diagnostic, analytics, server-log and advertising data is retained according to the configured service retention period and the provider's policy. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and maintain appropriate records.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS for SmartIDE-operated network services. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Connections initiated by terminal, Git or database tools can use other protocols selected by you; you are responsible for choosing secure endpoints and protecting credentials and backups.
Your control
Your choices and privacy rights
- Do not use optional AI, remote, sign-in or advertising-supported features.
- Manage Android permissions in system settings and ad choices in Android or Google settings.
- Delete local projects, credentials and conversations, clear app storage, or uninstall an app.
- Manage purchases and subscriptions in Google Play.
- Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of data associated with you. We may need information sufficient to locate and verify the record, and some aggregated or legally required records may not be deletable.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights such as data access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Children
Not directed to young children
SmartIDE developer tools are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required. In regions requiring a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must provide any required consent.
Updates
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as apps and legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revision is published. Material changes may also be described in app release notes or an in-app notice.
